Baiba, a 31-year-old designer originally from Latvia, is based in the Netherlands following her graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven. Her work is driven by a keen interest in human behaviour and its impact on the surrounding environment. A deep passion for research and traditional crafts is fundamental to her projects, and she often draws upon traditional craft techniques deeply rooted in her Latvian heritage.
Baiba's research approach is multifaceted, combining compelling visual storytelling (through video and imagery) with in-depth analysis drawing from interviews and academic publications. After a period focused on professional development following the COVID-19 pandemic, Baiba is now reinvigorating her personal creative practice and enthusiastically exploring new avenues in her own work.
